Before we will start on our adventure please carefully read through this section.

Make sure that you are dressed properly for the hike. Let us know beforehand if you have forgotten anything. We won’t be able to take you on our tour with bad footwear or inadequate clothing, since safety is our first priority!

Please check if your level of fitness complies with the difficulty of the tour. Some of the tours will be in the alpine region with considerable height gain and loss. Contact us if you are not sure.

Tell us in advance if you have any health conditions (e.g. heart disease, diabetes etc.) and do not forget to carry any medication you might need.

Mountain insurance is not included in the tour price. Please make sure that your own insurance will cover any costs in case of an emergency rescue.

Below you can find a list of frequently asked questions. If there is anything missing feel free to email us at

What if the weather is bad? 2017-06-12T20:19:00+00:00

Sometimes if the weather forecast is very bad (heavy rain, thunderstorms, blizzards) the guide can make the decision to cancel the tour. In this case you will get a refund for the tour price. Please note: the decision is entirely up to the guide and will be made one day prior to the hike.

What is the food like in a mountain hut? 2017-06-12T20:13:44+00:00

Austrian mountain huts usually prepare basic and hearty dishes. It will be easy for vegetarians to find something they like, but probably difficult for vegans. Please let us know beforehand if you have any dietary requirements.

Is there a shower in a mountain hut? 2017-06-12T19:37:15+00:00

In most of the huts there is no shower and there will be only cold water. Alpine huts will also ask their guests to use water sparingly, since very often, especially in the summer months water will be scarce.

How much is an overnight stay in a hut? 2017-06-12T19:35:01+00:00

Depending if you are member of an alpine club or not, an overnight stay varies between 15 and 30 Euros per person per night.
